RABI-UL-AWWAL –EID MILAD-UN-NABI PROGRAMME 2013
Rabi-ul-Awwal is the holy month when our Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) was born. This was the first ever EID MILAD-UN-NABI Programme held in the history of the MKA and also a first ever Muslim Community Centre to hold this Event, which took place at the MKA Centre on Friday 8th February 2013 in the main hall of the centre which was decorated with special banners, flags and bunting marking this special event. The guest of honour was Hafizur Rehman from Masjid Bilal, who led the event. Naats were prayed by several people and there was a talk on the reason why we hold Milad and about MKA history. At this event we got to also know that we had a lot of Khatri’s in the community from all age groups who had such talents of praying Naat’s. The event was attended by over 100 people and was a huge success. MKA Committee Members were commended on how well the event was organised. The evening ended with everyone taking Niyaaz (jam puffs, crisp, apples and drinks) with them which were donated by Committee Members and well-wishers.
EID UL ADHA CELEBRATION 2012
All MKA text subscribers were sent a message inviting them to the “BRING A DISH EVENT” to celebrate Eid Ul Adha. This took place in the main hall at our MKA Centre on 3rd November 2012. The hall was decorated with special Eid banners and other decorations. Lots of families came together to celebrate and brought with them variety of food.
All the children who came to the Event were given a present from MKA, this was much appreciated by them and they felt special and happy as all children love receiving gifts especially for Eid!
All the Committee Members and Trustees got together and bought a cake specially made with MKA Logo/Happy Birthday MKA Chairman and surprised Mr Razak Ghumran as it was his birthday! Yahya Thadha one of the Trustees who celebrated his birthday a few days before was also surprised with a cake! Both were overwhelmed with the gesture and everyone at the Event enjoyed the cake too!
WELCOME TO HAJJI’S EVENT 2012
This Event was held at the MKA Centre on Sunday 16th December 2012 in the main hall which was decorated with special Hajj banners and bunting. Hajji's are people who have been for pilgrimage to Mecca. MKA representatives went personally to all the Hajji’s homes to invite them and their families. (special invitation cards were made for this occasion) All MKA Committee Members got together and made food for this event including pizza, chicken, samosa, assorted sandwiches, bhajia, cakes, biscuits and much more. . All Hajjis’s had photographs taken with their families when they were presented a commemorative framed certificate with lovely wishes for their hajj from the MKA to mark this Event. All Hajjis’ and their family were very touched by the whole experience that evening and felt very honoured and couldn’t thank enough for all the hard work the MKA Committee Members had put in.
