The MKA celebrated the festival of Eid Ul Fitr by donating gifts of toys, craft activities, games, jigsaws, books, play dough (all with CE safety marks) to sick children at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
Volunteers appealed to local business, family  friends and the community to donate gifts that that were then distributed among the sick children, making this unique initiative the first of its kind in Europe!
Both children and staff were overwhelmed with the generosity of the community and extremely grateful; “this is a really brilliant idea” said Vanessa Roberts, child specialist at the LRI.
The MKA organised the gift giving to coincide with Eid and to commemorate their 35th year anniversary.
